I don’t know about you, but we’ve been here before. We interviewed Gamebience almost a year ago, when they were preparing for a release in the middle of 2011 – however delays, put down to issues with the Gamebience trademark in the Indian market, have seen the game originally scheduled for 7/7/07 slip yet another year.

In their previous statements, Gamebience were discussing releasing a 2D management game as their initial release, however in today’s announcement the focus has again shifted to their Cricket Life Express product, a full 3D game with none of the management features. Their new schedule, posted on their Facebook page lists a May 1st demo release, followed by the full game for digital download on the 10th, with a boxed release to follow in ‘most major countries’. Perhaps not helping the tone of discussion regarding this game, is that they have indicated April 1st as the date for providing gameplay videos and other preview content.

Beyond the announcement of the date, little new information is available, and I suspect it may not be enough to again regain the confidence of the cricket gaming public in their ability to deliver. However, they will be entering into what will be an open market for new games – something that is ‘good enough’ might well be successful at this point.

You can discuss this announcement here!
