Current Fixture System

As most of you already know, the current fixture system is somewhat of a disaster with teams playing miles apart in some games. As a quick solution to this ive come up with this:

Currently in first class the following teams have played these amount of matches:
Melbourne - 4
PC - 5
Warriors - 5
Supersoakers - 4
Legends - 5
Donkeys - 3

Therefore if the donkeys play a game against the supersoakers and melbourne once the games would be even on 5 each.

In One day:
Melbourne - 4
PC - 3
Warriors - 4
Supersoakers - 4
Legends - 4
Donkeys - 5

Therefore if melbourne play PC, PC play supersoakers and the warriors play the legends they will all come out on 5.

So in this case, we would have every team on 5 games in all forms of the game, that way we could do the system we were going to impliment next season asap. That being fc games run from monday to friday and one day games on sunday (using rounds).

The problem with this is, the teams that are playing games in this fix dont necesseraly need to play those teams, eg. melbourne needs to play the donkeys not the supersoakers. So we would need all managers to agree upon this system and accept they will play some teams more often.

In the long and short run this is a better system and should help bring back popularity into cricksim. So i ask every manager to post if they agree here and everyone who isnt a manager to post their views and queries which I will answer in due course

This looks like an excellent idea! It is certainly better than the previous fixtures! I think it should be implemented!

Yep, rickyp it looks extremely efficient and easier to use. So hopefully it will work better then our current system!

Yes, good because it will fix things up and it also means the Donkeys get to play their games sooner.

ok well 5 yes and 1 no reply is enough for me.

Lets try and get all the games simmed and completed by sunday so we can start round 6 by the end of the week. In other words, im gonna need a lot of co operation from the managers. What I'll do is just post all the game threads, and as soon as I have the teams in them, I'll sim the games.

Well, since the decision has already been made this doesn't really matter; but it just seems a whole lot more confusing and biased towards teams that play the weaker teams more often.

But it's just a game so I don't really care.

ill take shohum as a yes , ok guys, the games are half completed for now! hopefully once all teams are posted we can knock off the remaining od games tonight, and play day 1 of the fc games

ahh crap...... ive messed up the games.... this is gonna be a problem...

Ill try work out a solution for now, until then, we could be in for some turbulence

ok well heres the problem... ive mixed up the fc and one day games, and since ive simmed 2 just then, its not going to be able to be fixed

the donkeys have now played 7 od games, but we can work around it, if we can get all the games worked out asap

Current OD Games:
Donkeys 7
Legends 3
Bitters 5
Rockers 2
Soakers 5
Warriors 4

which means that this is what needs to happen:
Legends vs bitters
Legends vs Rockers
Legends vs Soakers
Legends vs Warriors
Bitters vs Rockers
Soakers vs Rockers
Rockers vs Warriors
Warriors vs Rockers

FC Stands as this:
Bitters 4
Rockers 5
Warriors 5
Supersoakers 4
Legends 5
Donkeys 3

So this is what will happen:
Donkeys vs Supersoakers
Donkeys vs Bitters

As long as the Soakers come out on top, everything's cool.
