Here we go:

Because we're all cricket fans. Why wouldn't cricket fans want to be aware of what was going on in cricket? It's a shame that people ignore it. For example, we've got one of the most interesting and exciting ODI tournaments in years going on right now in Kenya, with some big individual scores, some tight bowling, last over thrillers, and teams chasing down scores of around 300, yet as I write this, a thread on a series that hasn't even started yet has attracted more posts than the thread for this tournament.

Pretty much any type of meat. I never bother with onions, chillies or any fruit or veg on pizza, it just doesn't belong.

I was "recruited". I was an admin at Cricket2004.co.uk when we merged with PlanetCricket. I liked it so much I stayed, for some reason.

Several members of this forum may be on that list... also various religous figures who I will refrain from mentioning so as not to cause offence. If I had to pick one celebrity, it would be Russell Brand. Why? Just watch him for five minutes and tell me you don't want to punch him in the face.

The three main parties don't seem up to much at the moment. I wouldn't trust Gordon Brown as far as I could throw him. David Cameron is a front man, and if he gets in power it will be the same old bunch of racists, homophobes and xenophobes who have always run the Tory party running the country. Ming Campbell just doesn't seem to have what it takes. So I'll wait and see.

No one will win the World Cup in March, it finishes in April.
I think I successfully ducked that one...

It's an unfair comparison really as they're very different games. Because strength doesn't play as much a part in women's cricket as it does in the men's game, you see a lot more clever swing bowling, spin bowling and more nurdling the ball around trying to find the gaps. The game can often be more exciting as a result. I like them both equally, but for different reasons.

An improved forum. One where all are welcome that has a reasonably intelligent level of debate. Many internet forums have way too much spam, incredibly frequent use of "txt spk", and way too much debate along the lines of "My teams better than your team because I say it is". I want a forum that is different than that.
I'd also like to get rid of the superthread, the biggest waste of space on the entire internet.

A team that bats down to 10, and contains seven world-class bowlers.
