For the third update I took into consideration ideas from Shailesh to cover shots played square of the wicket, no other positions have been sacrificed for this and these field positions are now far better. One day fields are also more restrictive than ever, there is now a tighter infield during the opening overs to restrict runs in key areas and more cover on the offside boundaries.

Extract to: program files/EA SPORTS/Cricket 2002/data
overwrite existing files, make sure you back-up the original ones!

I am going to use your patch in next odi tournament. I tried playing with it and tell you the truth its is really tough to get runs and there are more chances of getting caught
a really nice work there

ps: the version 3 is much better than other 2 ...

I havent tried the test yet but eventually i will when I will start my second test against sachida

Thank you Rangeela, i have worked very hard to get them looking just right. Tests are equally hard by the way, even aggressive fields will have 3 men on the boundary, so you should score less there aswell, thanks for the feedback :

I don't think it's the kind of thing for me. Well here I go back to some exhibition matches to check out the new patch.It's hard enough with the default fieldings,I'm not going to go another step too quick.

auwais, sorry dude I know its hard for you as you are trying to improve yourself with the game. These fields are indeed very tough, so if you are playing on hard level mate then perhaps you should leave my field patch for when you have learned to play to a standard you feel comfortable with. Alternatively, you could try getting used to the field placings on normal level with my patch, that way you will improve your shot placemement greatly, and therefor the step-up in difficulty won't be as great, as you'll be able to time the ball perfectly :
