Guys, here is Prithvi to Other Games Stories with a new Story "My Chess Carrier".
Actually, I just installed "Grand Masters Chess", a local game of Chess which I bought for 1/2$ (Its Original, not ripped as the price may lead you think that :p:p)
So, guys, it'll run just like Humprey Marka's AC09 diary.:)
So, Lets roll on:banana2:banana

And Guys, I', poor at chess and I'll be posting even some games by my elders, friends when I play really:)
And even when I get time to use my brothers lappie, even you can expect games from "Chess Titans" of "Windows Vista Home Premium".

Cheers,
Binnu.:)

Nice start Binnu this will be very interesting to read. Hope to see some writing in this story best of luck.

But make sure that while writing about moves and stuffs, you write it correctly. It's a brilliant mind game though. Good luck :)

Great Idea, I love chess and can't wait to read about your games. Are you playing against computers or other humans?

Great to see Binnu with a new story.
Hope that it becomes a long lasting success.

I'm actually waiting for my brother, who said that he'll decode the game and tweak it so that I can have a note pad file of the moves...

Well, basically against computer and if I get my brother's lappie, I'll play against him:D

I hope that it has simulation facility as well as you might get bored playing so many games of Chess again and again.

Just to let you know mate, Career and carrier are two different words. I think you mean to use the former

Thank you Humprey. I'll edit it when I log on from my system. And guys, here is an important note: I'll update this story from the coming week end as I'm now busy in writing practical record.

A great morning..
It was an important day in my life, which I din't notice.
Just as usual in the morning, I woke up and saw the news paper.
I missed the match between India and Sri Lanka as the power was off yesterday night.
So, Where's the news paper??
Searched here and there and finally got it.
I din't even saw the main head lines and saw the India VS Sri Lanka game news.
Umm... India lost the game....:crying:crying
Pretty disappointing morning as found India lost the game.
But still, was reading the quotes by the players and officials and then, my eyes saw something..
It was a chess competition conducted by Deccan Chargers Foundation.
My goodness.. I thought I won't click in chess even if Vishwanathan Anand teaches me:sarcasm. But my mind, which made me read the total information on it made me even read the sentences
The winners of this competition will be gifted a golden chess board by Deccan Chargers Captain, Adam Gilchrist.
:eek::eek:
My mind said," You idiot, its your favorite player..!! Go there, at least participate to see Mr Gilchrist directly, as everyone knows, you won't win it:sarcasm"
I shouted to my mom and she gave me money to go there and participate.
Last night, I was playing chess with my brother and lost the game in 13 steps.:facepalm
That made my brother speak," First win against me, then go to those competitions".
But, I neglected those words as it was Gilchrist in my mind.:banana2
I read the total article and it was written that the admissions will close sharp by 9:00AM.
My goodness, it was 8:40 already.
But the venue was 1/2 kilometer from my house to east.
It was Deccan Chargers sporting ventures arena.
I took my dad's bike as he was in a abroad for four days for some of his office work.
No petrol..!!:facepalm:doh
Got an idea to take the petrol from my bro's bike which I did.
Then, it was 08:55AM, when I reached the venue.
Then, I filled up the registration form and saw a note that "If you lose the game, you'll have to vacate the venue as soon as possible. Only the top 50 members will be invited to the presentation ceremony":sarcasm
I was on fire to get a position in top 100 members.
There were around 250 members participating with 5 minutes of registration left.
I just thought that I'll be in the top 100 members.
Then, I was given a paper on which I knew that I was to face someone called Prakash in my first round.
My table was declared to be 13th table. 13. World's unlucky number.:facepalm
But still.. somewhere, I had a thought that it was a unlucky number for good persons but not for me:D:D.
I reported at Table no. 13 and I took my chair.
Mr Prakash was yet to arrive.
Will I win the first encounter against Prakash??
To be continued....

Good stroyline to start with.
So,cricket brought you to chess,ah?
KIU

Thanks dude.
And may be..?? "Cricket can bring up a chess Player in me:spy"

Binnu added 0 Minutes and 56 Seconds later...

And mates, by mistake, any Prakash, sorry for using your name.
I just was thinking of some sports person and I got Prakash Padukone:D:D

The First Game.
Well, I waited and waited for Prakash, who never turned out.:sarcasm
So, I was promoted to next round without any game:banana2:banana2
And then, my next Opponent was named Parthip , against whom, I drew.
He started off greatly and his intelligent moves made me frustrate a bit. But my desire to Meet Gilchrist made me think even better than me and made me identify that some of my intelligent steps kept my hopes alive. Then, I knocked out both of his knights within no time:D:banana2
Some foolish moves by him costed him even his minister:banana2:banana2
And then, I was all set to have a win.
But....
His intelligent moves of king even after my consecutive checks ended the game in draw.
The final look at the board was

My goodness..
WTF. A winning game was left without no result:facepalm
The winner.
Who is that??
If I win this, I was to going to meet Gilchrist as I'd end up in top 70.
The event officials saw the total game and decided that It'll be me, who'll get promoted to next round as they had two reasons to point out.
The first one was the average time taken to make a move, in which I was far behind of him. (On an average, he took 3.72 minutes to make a move whereas, I made it in 1.22 minutes:banana2)
The latter was he was far older than me. Which made them think that I had great thinking that him:eek::laugh
(I din't expect this even in dreams:sarcasm)
And then, I felt as if I'm the happiest man in this world:banana2:banana2
Meeting Gilchrist is not an easy thing..!!:happy:happy
Next opponent was decided to be Sai Krishna, the defending Champion.:facepalm
Indeed, I knew him very well as he was my class mate.
But still, I din't know how he plays in the competition.
Will I win in the games ahead even after I was decided to meet Gilchrist??
To be continued....
