Great Game

The amount of money that FIFA, NHL, NBA, Madden or any other US EA game gets is alot more than Cricket or Rugby, so you would expect better games. If Cricket 2004 had the amount of money FIFA got then it would be basically bug free.

Very true! I finally got to play the game for the first time (ps2) yesterday, and my first impressions are that it is a good game, but, like you said Squiz, with abit more money and resources put into it, it could have been amazing!

Go back and play BLC, it s**ts all over C2004.

I would even go back and play Ian Bothams cricket from the 80's before C2004. It's not worth wearing out your hard drive with that so call game I will never play C2004 again.

C2004 has lots of good ideas, but it's nothing without reliable game play.

I'm sure if EA had thrown money at Cricket 2004 it would have been brilliant.....but, they didn't. Instead they gave a heap of crap in a box.

I read a review of Cricket 2004 in a magazine the other day, and it was labelled as one of the worst games ever produced. Is that harsh or justified? Each to his own opinion.

I think the other key difference with EA cricket and the rugby series are that not only is there no money but also, Madden, NHL etc have been going since early 90s (I remember playing NHL 95 on the Megadrive!!) with updates every year. When that much work is going on in the game, it is bound to be far superior to what we have got for cricket.
