i saw today on sportal.com.au that Harbhajan Singh might be needing an operation on his finger, this is what it said:
Champion Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is set to undergo finger surgery in the United States.
Harbhajan injured the index finger on his right hand on India?s tour of New Zealand early this year, and though he played at the World Cup, the problem has not healed fully, forcing him to withdraw from his County contract with Lancashire.
He will almost certainly now fly to Baltimore for the operation after an MRI scan in Mumbai revealed the extent of the damage, with the procedure to be completed at the same hospital where Indian Sachin Tendulkar also underwent finger surgery.
"Harbhajan underwent an MRI scan and x-ray on his finger after specialist Dr Sudhir Warrior, who also treated Sachin's finger before he decided to go in for an operation in the US, advised him to do so," Indian cricket board medical expert Anant Joshi told the Press Trust of India.
"However, it will take at least a couple of days for us to come to a final decision as I am going to Japan tonight, but I will keep in touch with both Harbhajan and Dr Warrior about the developments."
"If his finger needs to be operated upon, then the first choice would be to send him to the US as the doctors there have done a very good job on Sachin's finger recently."
