Hi all,

Does anyone know what files in BLC control the edges, it's been a while since I worked on this, but finally got BLC working in a Win 98 SE virtual machine on XP. I'm editing some of the stroke files and from memory one of the *.atr files in ...\Captures\Batsman\Stroke controlled the edges. But looking at them with the Stroke Editor I can't see anything related to how the edges are treated.

Any ideas?
Any help greatly appreciated.

you can sort of control the liklihood of getting an edge by editing the internat.cfg (one day) or tinternat.cfg (test) files. This is for test level

However where the edges go are simply determined by the fielder type. I.e. The ball always travels towards fielders set to slip or close catchers.

Pretty poor really, you cannot makes edges go into the gaps, only towards these two fielder types

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, I've edited the tinternat.cfg and tcompbat.cfg files (I'm sorting out the Tests at present).

I've heavily edited the stroke files so, for example square cuts can fly over slips etc .. (but of course these aren't "real" edges).

The reason I ask, was while testing I just had an edge (a real edge) balloon to someone out in the deep -- could this be due to editing the fields - i.e. BLC's AI thinks the fielder in the deep is actually a close in fielder and so has to make the ball reach him at all costs? It looks kinda strange.

I.
