Someone please help me.

I received my copy of BLIC from Gameplay today, just installed it and that went ok, however when I try to start it it comes up with an error message "emulation software being run, please insert licensed disk" WTF I have the licensed disk. What should I do?

u might be running daemon tools or a similar software.
that error message is due to starforce.

You have software like daeom tools running, diable it and try again.

Its the starforce drivers warning that you have piracy software on the system.

How do I find these?, I bought my computer from Dell 2 months ago and have only played FM2007 on it which is again a legit copy.

I have done a search for Daemon, it has found to the following things:

cidaemon in directory C:1386
cidaemon in directory C:windows/system32

Is this what needs deleting?

r u using Nero Imagedrive
Check in the Device Manager under DVD\CD-ROM Drives if there is a extra device listed than what is physically present in ur PC
If present then right click on it and uninstall it

No nero imagedrive.

Man I am P*****D, only had the computer 2 months and can't work out what this emulation software is. I can't remember ever installing any such thing.

No, dont delete or remove those files!!!

Example of emulation software

Deamon Tools
Alcohol 120%
Clone CD

These create vitual drives, making your computer/programs think you have another cd drive, when infact you dont. If you are sure you dont have any of these installed in your system, check my computer, how many cd drives show up there? I have 2 normally, but with those programs listed about i can have 3 or 4 depending on what i set.

Also, you could try updating your starforce drivers, and firmware for your cd/dvd rom.

go to my computer - Device manager - And then see if there are any SCSI or RAID controllers

Apparently I have a:

Intel (R) ICH8R/DO/DH SATA RAID Controller

Is this causing the problem?

No this isnt the problem, its the RAId controller provided by Intel, private softwares use SCSI controllers mostly.

Next step - Go to control panel - add or remove programs and see if any program by the name of DAemon tools, alcohol or clone cd is present.

Try rebooting the system and then starting the game it should start , just try it and tell me if it worked . This happened to me on the 05 version , i just rebooted the computer and it worked . let us no either way

Really appreciate the help/advice you guys are giving me.

I have tried rebooting, also looked add remove programmes there is nothing there.

The game comes with a system checker which has produced the attached txt file which identifies the problem, and is all double dutch to me maybe one of you guys can make sense of it.

how many CD/DVD ROM devices do u have
the file shows that Drive E and F are removable drives

I have one CD Rom Drive and One DVD Drive. Also have a Floppy Disk Drive, MP Pro Duo Reader, SD/Mini Reader, And 2 other card readers.
