Highest 4th Innings totals

As you'll know if you've seen the West Indies v Australia score, West Indies have made the highest 4th Innings score to win a test. The previous record was 406/4 by India against the West Indies at Port of Spain in 1976.

The highest 4th innings score in a tied test is 347 by India against Australia at Chennai in 1986.

The highest 4th innings score in a drawn test is 654/5 by England against South Africa at Durban in 1939. No that score isn't a typo it really was 654/5. The match was played over TEN days! And was only abandonned because England had to get their boat home!

The highest 4th innings score in a test by a losing side is 451 by New Zealand against England at Christchurch in 2002.

He only bowled 6 overs in Australia's 2nd innings, so you can't blame him for that!

It was a gr8 test match, although i started watching it only near the end :P Its nice to see som1 beat the aussies, who I think lost their cool. Aussies tend to lose it whe they dont get quick wickets, cause they arent used to it. Their bowling has become weak, its true that the pitches were dead but, u expect the best side in the world to defend 417. Seeing the windies dismissals , it was more a case of the batsmen playing loose shots. The aussie bowling might be losing a bit of edge, maybe becoz of age. But the batting is superb. I expect the one dayers to be equally exciting and more records will be broken, im sure.
