Two Things Before I Try To Explain My Idea.
Ok (Deep Breath)
I have been following some of the excellent season/competitions/ODI that people have created on the forum. Some of the Teams are made up of members from the forum (PCR, Asian XI, The Derbyshire One-sorry forgot name).
Why not have a tornament between all the teams, with each team plays each other.
"THAT CANT BE DONE" - I Hear you say.
Well have a think about this.
Lets Say 4 Teams Are Created, so that would be e.g. Team A, B, C, D
All The teams have 11 players from the forum, and select to be one of the County Teams in C2005 so:
Team A - Glamorgan
Team B - Kent
Team C - Essex
Team D - Surrey
A team is created using CREATE PLAYER in C2005 by the Captain and this file is sent to all the players in his team.
A fixture List is created e.g.
Week 1
Then 2/3 Players from TEAM A would play the C2005 default Kent (Team B) and 2/3 Players from TEAM B would play the C2005 Defualt Glamorgan (Team A)
The Game would be played in a 4 day format, BUT only the first 50 overs BATTED count (this stops the game ended if you beat AI Score in a OD)
The players would all submit their scores to the captains (and a screenshot)
And a avg. score would be worked out. This Takes all the scores and finds a average.
E.g. TEAM A Scores 50/10/180 = 240 Avg = 80
TEAM B Scores 54/12/179= 245 Avg = 82
So Team B would win by 2 runs.
And so on.
This means that ALL players can get involved in thier teams games, and also means that you do really have to perform well to help your team.
if you wanted ALL Players could play the game and a Avg from 11 players would count.
NO AUTOPLAY would be permitted, and games would be played on the Medium Setting, A Halfway point for new and old players.
Please, Let me know what you think. I have only just thought of this idea - so it may be complete crap!
