This will be a thread based similarly on the how are you going in ICC...

Basically, you can just post up season summaries of your team here and share all the news about how you are going, who your star players are, and whatever.

I've just kicked off a fresh career with the Demons, will be interesting to see how long it takes before our first premiership. I'm predicting 2012.

I had a season with the Dockers, did ████ in 2009, got number 2 pick, got a gun from WA then traded away the ████ like Schammer, Dodd and the other hacks and got Natinui, Rich and other young guns then didn't play after that because I knew I was going to be too good.

Will start a new season soon probably.

Blake's Melbourne Demons
Season 1: 2008

Team Prediction: 11th
Premiership Prediction: Richmond Tigers (Final Position: 9th)

Pre-Season Champions: Sydney Swans 11.14.80 def St. Kilda 11.11.77

Season Finish: 4th
Qualifying Final: Geelong 17.24.126 def Melbourne 10.7.67
Semi-Final: Melbourne 10.7.67 def by Hawthorn 14.19.103

Summary:

After a slow start we had a sensational finish to the season as Jack Watts came to age and kicked quite a few for us. We were hovering around the 9th to 11th mark for quite a while but a superb string of results towards the end of the season saw us scrape through into 4th position - a great effort, considering we were predicted 11th.

However, our finals performance left a lot to be desired. We kicked 10.7.67 in consecutive weeks to bow out as Hawthorn and Geelong left us in the dust - and we were truthfully never in the game for either of those. The Hawthorn match was particularly disappointing, but I was still pleased with our final position.

Minor Premiers: Geelong (20-2)
Wooden Spoon: Kangaroos (6-16)

Final 8: Geelong, West Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Carlton
Bottom 4: Kangaroos, Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Adelaide

Premiers: West Coast 16.16.112 def Geelong 12.16.88

Club Champion: Cameron Bruce
Most Goals: Aaron Davey (41)
Most Disposals: Cameron Bruce (700)
Best in Brownlow: Cameron Bruce (19)* would have won Brownlow, but was suspended
All-Australian: Cameron Bruce

Match of the Season:
Round 20, Melbourne Demons (4th) vs Western Bulldogs (5th), MCG

Melbourne 10.13.73 def Bulldogs 9.17.71

This was an absolute thriller, and definitely the match of the season. Before this match, with just three rounds remaining, four teams were tied in fourth position. Third place was well out of reach but ourselves, the Bulldogs, Collingwood and Hawthorn were separated by just the tiniest of percentage ratings. The Bulldogs were sitting in 5th place whilst we were leading on 4th by just under one percent. This match was effectively the make or break point of our season, especially after I saw that Hawthorn had lost to bottom placed Port Adelaide and Collingwood were set to face third place Sydney.

The match was extremely tense - the Bulldogs led by 3 points at quarter time, 3 points at half-time and then 5 points at three quarter time. We couldn't seem to wear them down - they would get out to a lead and we would only just hang on. Midway through the final term, the Bulldogs were dominating and had stretched the lead out to 15 points. We looked dead and out - but the return of Aaron Davey off the bench provided something special. He kicked two quick goals, including one with just one minute to play to give us the lead. Somehow we came from behind with just a minute left to clinch a thrilling victory by just two points over the Bulldogs - it was a brilliant effort.

This victory sent us to a top four finish as we won our last two games against Adelaide and West Coast, and sent the Bulldogs spiralling as they dropped out of the final 8 - the loss effectively ended their season as they finished 10th, missing out on the 8 by just two points.

Never gonna play FFX again, I`ll own after a season. Too easy after trade week.

Look at all the trades you got/did!!! Thats why its too easy.

How the hell did you get the Demons to a top 4 spot?

Yeah, there is a bug with corrupting after a season, its something to do with the database, but it can be fixed. Go to BigFooty forums and look in the FFX Issues thread.

Thats right Hooper, thats right. Dont see any Fremantle people bring Charlie back home.

Oh and...I`m more amazed at Blake actually putting the time to write that up.

Hes a stats whore, like myself, so I'm not surprised.

Thanks for that Hooper, I will have a look at the thread. Some games work fine and some corrupt, so who knows.

Yeah, was lucky to get the Dees to 4th especially in my first season.. it was interesting to say the least. Also, OffCutters, that should read 73 to 71, I changed it now.

Edit: Hooper, where exactly was this solution you found? There are heaps of pages in one thread so I don't know where to look. I am getting an error Runtime Error 9 subscript out of range or whatever..

Tried it Hooper - it reverts my game back to when I last saved it, which was round 5 of the season I just played. Would rather not repeat the whole shebang.

Ehh, that sucks! Why'd you not save since round 5? Been playing all day or something?

Something like that - it only takes about an hour and a half to do what I did if you don't watch all the games.

Yeah, I did that. Played a whole season as Freo pretty quickly just to get to the trade week so I could offload my shite and get some better players in.

You going to play another year or what? If you do, I'll take the challenge of Freo and try make top 4...
