New Zealand batsman Lou Vincent is battling depression and doubts he will play international cricket again.

Vincent, taking anti-depressants and receiving help from a clinical psychologist, said he believed he had been suffering from the illness for some time before he was diagnosed.

...Wow.

Well he and tait should get together. One can bat and other can bowl to come out of depression.

Aye, that was an absolute disgrace Scion.

And Cricketman - Tresco had a stress related condition to due with pressure and having to spend time away from his family, rather than something as serious as full blown depression. Not playing down Tresco's condition of course.

Absolute shame this is. I've seen people torn apart by depression before and I hope he can work through it.

It's sad too see a good talent like him suffer from this. Depression can be devastating and I hope he can get through it and play international cricket again.

IMO, cricketers suffering from depression should spend time with their families and then they might to start to miss the game and hopefully then should eventually start playing the game again.

Ok ok, let's all step off the bandwagon now.

Man, tis' a shame, this guy is such an awesome fielder.

Not nice. Vincent is class and it's a shame for him to hit a stumbling block like this.

It happens. Depression is a very real psychological illness, like any other thing, it should be taken seriously. Hopefully, he will recover from it.

Positive Thinking is probably one of the best cures to this type of illness. If it goes un-addressed it could spill over into physical illnesses so it's important he deals with this soon.
