I have to come clean, I got it wrong

I have always said that One Day cricket is pointless and doesn't matter. I was wrong.

From now on, I will watch OD cricket with the thought of winning - England games. Winning gives your country a greater reputation, the team a huge morale boost and makes the fans happy. I was at Edgbaston yesterday and everyone there had a great time, made better by England putting on a great show and winning comfortably. For the spectators, if not for anyone else, it is important for teams to be successful in any form of cricket they play.

Test cricket is of course the pinnacle, and the results in that matter MORE than OD cricket, but OD cricket does matter. And I will be watching the World Cup hoping that England do well.

Yeh, T20 is limited overs cricket, not one day cricket. One day cricket lasts around 8-9 hours doesn't it? That's a third of a day. Twenty20 cricket lasts 3 hours. That's an eigth of a day.

btw T20 is not OD, OD/ODI is 50 over. T20 is T20..20 over. if you say "oh lets go watch Aus vs Eng One Day/OD/ODI", they will think you meant 50 overs, T20 wont come to their mind... unless they think the way you do...

Neither T-20s nor ODIs are one day cricket. An ODI lasts for 9 hrs, T-20 for 3 hrs- a day is of 24 hrs.

I disagree. Why should it be pointless? And boring? Test are more boring. In ODIs there's at least some action towards the end, but in tests...:sleep:sleep.....2 days later...:sleep:sleep.....4 days later...:sleep:sleep............

Its your opinion and I`ll leave it at that. Test cricket is the pinnacle of the sport and if you feel its boring, it could be because you have`nt watched any epic test cricket battles. You would`nt be saying so if you`d have watched the 2001 Border-Gavaskar, 2005 Ashes or the 2007 Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Coming back to the point that Skater was making, I guess everybody got the point he was making. He said he had not been giving OD cricket/LOI Cricket enough importance and that he will be doing so from now on.
So whats all the fuss about?
