ICC 3 Update Issues

Hello,

Thanks for your efforts but it still didnt work.I tried 2-3 times but still it is getting stuck.

I think patch is the only way out for me to play this game online again.

I dont understand when I can play online using dial up connection why I cant download the patch.I have played around 60 games online.

BREAKING NEWS :


I have now being able to upload the patch and have sucessfully updated the game.It was a internet issue only.I used my friend (neighbour) net connection and was able to download the patch within minutes.

One more thing I have copied the patch file so that if anybody else is unable to download I can give them.The patch is for Ver. 7.0 which was mine and the patch will upgrade the game to 7.12.

I will post the file here when Almost_Austwick gives me the permission to do so.

With Vista the problem is that the patch s being downloaded to the wrong place due to the new Windows security measures. One way around this is to open the folder:

Program Files\Xplosiv\International Cricket Captain 3

Then double click on cricket.exe to run the game. This should enable the patching system to patch to the correct place.

Once the game has patched, exit and then start again so that it looks for the saved games in the right place.

Had a look here and tried all those techniques but still having problems. I don't see what's wrong here, I have a CD like anyone else.

Like I suggested to freddiw, it might be worth contacting childishthings directly. Maybe even mention that you are a moderator on a cricket gaming website with a big ICC gamers fanbase...

It says to contact Xplosiv for the boxed version, so I'll try that.

For the record, I managed to do it without any help from Xplosiv, by right clicking cricket.exe in your ICC III folder, and selecting run as administrator.

Hope that helps anyone with problems in the future!

The ICC3 may be facing update problem like icc 2006.
