Improved Planet Cricket

Hi everyone. I had a conversation with Ste on MSN Messenger this evening and raised several new ideas on how to improve Planet Cricket. Here are the ideas.

- A fresh new look for the website, sort of a 'decorating job'.
- A 'newbies' forum, where new users can introduce themselves (and find the FAQ quickly and easily).
- A Cricket Shopping forum, where users can showcase items and find a link to a buying page e.g Amazon.

These ideas have been approved by Ste, but need the other users and Admin to approve of them too. Please post your comments on these ideas here.

1. No real problem with that, as it's only a new skin and we'd be able to choose anyway
2. They can find the FAQ quickly and easily already, it's quite obvious- and realistically, who wants 500 topics saying "hi im new", and 20 people saying welcome for the sake of their post counts. If you're new, you start posting well and get people to notice you by your intelligent posts, not by being an attention whore and making a bloody topic about it.
3. I'm sure that the small percentage of people here who feel like purchasing cricket stuff over the internet once a week are quite capable of finding sites for it themselves.

These ideas have been approved by Ste and Rangeela, and we are now waiting for a response from Sangam, the other forum administrator. Thanks for your feedback. We are well on our way to an improved Planet Cricket.
