I'd honestly like to see Shreyas Iyer leading the side here. (if fit). He is the most logical person to take over once the Kohli era ends.
Having Dhawan/ Pandya lead would be really really wild. If Dravid is the coach, expect a youngster to lead; one with proven captaincy credentials as opposed to Dhawan/Pandya who have none. That said, Indian selectors are known to spring a surprise every time the squad is selected.

Because your very premise is untrue. Australia always played their top sides without rotation or rest? Simply untrue, they always played a weakened XI versus Bangladesh when they were on top or down under in the 2000s. Now what, "I did not watch cricket so excuse me for being ignorant" again? You're not only dishonest with your own fictional 'facts' but also embarrassing.
England also played two different XIs versus Ireland and West Indies/Pakistan due to the pandemic last year in their own home. Yet apparently India are being disrespectful for playing Sri Lanka with a weakened XI when they also have to play a Test Championship Final, both of which are in two separate countries.
Let us be honest, if India refused to play Sri Lanka you would criticise them for refusing to help out a neighbouring former legendary side with a tour and focusing on their own interests and if by your own genius logic India sent a weakened XI to the WTC Final you would criticize them for devaluing an already meaningless tournament. All you want is a stick to beat the BCCI with while you shall be blind to the same or worse actions that the other countries do. You're nothing but a hypocrite and someone who hates his own country under the guise of a troll.

I am disappointed that Iyer isn’t the Captain for this series. Shikhar Dhawan himself plays under Iyer in IPL. What are our selectors thinking before picking a side? I think any side would’ve picked Iyer as their Captain but then this is India afterall who are known for their gimmicks with selection since the start of Kohli era.
