Well,it came on cricinfo,it came in the newspapers. Here are certain excerpts from Greg's press confo held after India's exit.

Greg Chappell said:
Would you like to continue as coach?
This is not the time to talk about that.

Over the last 17 matches overseas, India have only played 50 overs on four occasions. Why is that?We haven't played well enough.

But it's a period stretching over one and a half years...We haven't played well enough, that's it.

Another word that has been mentioned a lot is 'process'. What went wrong with the process?
That's an inflammatory question and I'm not prepared to answer it.

Do you think it's time for a change of guard?
That's an inflammatory question, and you know I can't answer that in this forum.

We didn't see the right body language after the Bangladesh match. Do you agree? Or do you think it would also be an inflammatory answer? It would be an inflammatory answer. You are trying to put words in my mouth. They're not my words and they wouldn't be words I would like to use.

You can read the rest of the interview here.

My only question is....Why call for a PRESS CONFERENCE when you are not prepared to answer any questions ?
Well,also i observed one thing,the bloke never smiled :p

I don't blame him. He was just the coach. People get too emotional and lose a sense of perspective. And the media are equally ignorant about the nuances of the game.

The media have a habit of asking "leading" questions and getting upset if they don't get the answers they want!

Yeah, read the rest of the press conference. The reporters didn't turn up to ask him questions either, they're just there to berate him and the team.

Fair enough people are unhappy with the performance, but he hasn't had a lot of time, the team has gone through a lot of change recently and above all else, he should be allowed to do his job without everyone else sticking their fingers into it.

Very Chappell-esque innings really, played straight, didn't give them an inch. Maybe there's some example in that for the team.

The media are equally to blame for fuelling the fires. The fans are angry, yes. But if they gave a lot less coverage to the hooligans, they would fall flat. By giving publicity to the hooligans (who revel in it) they are underhandedly encouraging rowdyism and effigy burning.

Apart from what happens on the cricket pitch, why should fans be concerned about the personal lives of players? And disrupt them in this manner? What did their families do to deserve this kind of abuse? (burning effigies and posters in front of players' houses and stoning a player's restaurant)

I sometimes think that India doesn't deserve a player like Sachin Tendulkar. He should take up UK citizenship and play for England for a couple of years. At least he'll be better appreciated there.

The media and the fans have gone over the top and quite frankly, I'm sick of it.

Yes, it's quite horrible. Those extreme fans and the way the media seems to portray things show that they don't and never will support the team, they only support India. True fans continue to support the team in hard times, rather than ostracising it.

It must damage the team to know that if they lose, their homes might be ruined and people they care about might be threatened, not to mention the few bystanders who must surely be trampled by the throngs in the streets.

I'm kind of happy about the candid responses Dravid and Chappell have given to the media after we lost to Sri Lanka. It's about time someone told them (the media) to shut the hell up.

Sounds like Bracewell when he was interviewed. Answered about 5 questions in a row "You'll have to ask the players"

lol. it was about "team problems" which were bollocks made up in our media.

can't they leave poor Greg Chappell alone Is not his fault
all he do is trian them and pick the team.

He's quit now. Instability in the team leaves India worse off for WC 2011, in my opinion, which is perfectly in line with the curse of the home team.
