I've just got back from the police station and I am well shook up. Earlier today I was in a high speed crash (80mph) My mate has a new Golf GTI and was testing it out with a couple of us in it. He was putting it through it's paces on a country road, when a BMW overtook a car coming towards us. My mate put it up on the grass verge to avoid a head on collision but instead, lost control, spun out and eventually rolled it (just once thankfully) after we clipped a tree. Thank God it was a brand new car so all we have are a few cuts, but that was the most scray moment of my life.

That arse from the BMW didn't even stop and now my mate is getting done for speeding even though he was in control of the car and it was just that idiot in the BMW which caused the crash. Car is a complete wreck though and he will probs lose his license :noway

Wow! A scray moment! :p

Good to hear you're just shaken up though, nasty stuff, car accidents.

It's a good thing that you're alright though. What a...that guy in the BMW must have been, even more than you :p.

The title is misleading. I thought there was a second coming.

Well, he clearly wasn't in control of the car was he?

That's not supposed to be confrontational, and by law, going over the limit means you are out of control of the car.

He deserved to crash tbh, going 80mph down a country lane that clearly isn't large enough to fit 2 cars is just pure stupidity. I'm glad you're not hurt, but your mate deserved to write off his car. Hope he doesn't get away with his license in tact, doesn't deserve his license to be fair.

Totally agree, theres a fair few lanes like this around my town. I love driving down them BUT 80MPH anywhere but the motorway isn't good. Obviously top speed is 70, but i drive a lot at night when its quiet.

Cant believe your trying to protect your friend he almost got you killed. Atleast thats another danger off the road if he totalled it its his fault. He should be glad to be alive as should you.

Yeah I do understand what you are saying. But this wouldn't have happened if that BMW had pulled out in front of us Howver, there would still have been an accident if we had been going 60mph (the speed limit)

Maybe so, but going at 60mph you would've had enough time to notice him and put on the breaks and stop in time.
