Then Let's Discuss about Key Player for 2012.
(Who Already got national Caps and yet to make their Debut)

Post the key player for 2012 that you think for each Country.

~Key All Rounders
~Key Players that are yet to make their Debut

----------

Sri Lanka:

~Dinesh Chandimal and Kumar Sangakkara~Key Batsmens
~Lasith Malinga , Seekuge Prassana and Thissara Perera~Key Bowlers
~Angelo Matthews and Tilakaratne Dilshan~Key All-Rounders
*Key Player that are yet to make their Debut

-Sachitra Senanayaka-

Right-arm off-spin Bowler, He was onced called for chucking but he proved em wrong.
A promising young bowlers who has tremendous reputation in Domestic Circuit.
Average 20 in First-Class cricket and have a Econ of 5.77 T20s.

-Bhanuka Rajapaksha-
An attacking left-handed batsman, Bhanuka Rajapaksa was selected for the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand as one of the team's key batsmen. He lived upto his reputation, by finishing the leading run-scorer for his country with 253 runs. He had an excellent tour of Australia with the U-19 team in 2009, smashing 154 off 111 balls in a one-dayer and ended the series as the leading run-getter. He compares his batting style to Adam Gilchrist. His other sporting interests include squash and swimming.

-PM Pushpakumara-
Slow Left-Arm Orthodox Bowler,Pushpakumara forced his way into the Sri Lanka Under-19 side for the triangular tournament also involving England and Bangladesh in December 2005. He produced solid performances with the ball, with his best effort being a decisive 4 for 39 against Bangladesh. He is also a capable lower-order batsman.
First Class Average: 18.96

Some say that average of 20 in First-Class Cricket is not enough in Sri Lanka,
But look at Eranga,
He Averaged 40+ in First-Class Cricket, He did fine in World Stage.

England

Key Batsmen

Obviously Cook, Pietersen and you need Morgan to finish things off. Prior and Shermanator (in Tests)

Key Bowlers

Swann, Broad, Anderson of course. If the trio are in form then they can overcome even the strongest of batting sides.

Key all rounders

Samit Patel and Bopara, they're the only fine Ars England have at their disposal. Yardy, Wright are trash.

Key players yet to make their debut

James Taylor - he's one for the future. This guy has the potential to become on of the world's best. (though he's played an ODI)

Alex Hales- PCA player of the year, great potential.

Ben Stokes- Has the potential to become a great all rounder.

edited: just noticed every comment in the cricinfo 2011 XI is about the exclusion of sanga so no need for me to bang on about it.

For India key players would be Rohit Sharma,Virat Kohli,Umesh Yadav,Varun Aaron. This year will test the skills of the younger generation of players in India.Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have looked in good batting form in 2011 and are expected to play throughout the year and Sachin will surely get his 100th International century this year.VVS Laxman may or may not retire depending on his form and fitness. His batting overseas has not been very good in 2011.MS Dhoni has to also improve his test batting and overseas record.

For England the key batsmen will be KP and Cook, with Morgan, especially in ODIs.

Bowlers: this is exciting, I think England have the best bowling resources of any test playing nations, Broad, Jimmy, Swanny, Tremlett, Finn and even Bresnan.

I'll be looking to see how Rashid and Kieswetter develop in 2012 and I'm fully expecting Strauss to be nearing the end by December 2012.

----------

I think one of the most interesting talking points will be how Kohli and Umar Akmal develop as test batsmen.

I'm liking the current indian attack, Sharma and Yadav have bowled consistently at 145+ and looking at the first test against aus, its clear that Yadav has a bright future but hopefully he can continue to bowl quick and pick up wickets this year.

For NZ Bracewell would be a bright hopeful, he's bowled pretty well in his three tests so far, he'll be tested against South Africa later this summer though. This will probably be the last season for Chris Martin, it'll be nice for him to finish his career on a high.

Think its a bit open if you name more than one for each category so...

England

Key Bowler
Finn. I think it'll be his break out year, fully expect him to be the leader of the English attack come the end of the year constantly bowling over 90 mph as long as he stays injury free.

Key Batsmen

Prior. Gives England such terrific balance to have someone come in averaging mid 40s who scores so quickly. Last year he averaged 64.87 while scoring at a strike rate of 89.32. Makes it all much more special when all his tests where against India, Australia and Sri Lanka not the minnows.

Key All Rounders

Broad. Seems to have hit his straps as a bowler now and his batting is still improving.

Key Players that are yet to make their D?but
Taylor. Could be a pretty amazing player in my opinion.
