Alright. Finally a great victory for the Kiwis after all the disappointing matches through-out the tournament. Looks like all the game was dependent upon John Wright's and Morrison's form. They handled the match pretty well. Sad to see Morrison missing his last wicket for 10 wickets in a match haul. However, we're out but I'm happy enough to manage this team for another tournament if there is any.

Brian Lara absolutely pulverized the Indian bowlers in both innings with scores of 153 & 170. His total for the match was a mind boggling 323. India then folded to the pace of Courtney Walsh and Patrick Patterson who brought some life back into the pitch with their express pace.

The big hitting MS Dhoni was India's only bright spot in a very poor match. He used his unorthodox tactics to get them out of serious trouble in the first innings, when all of their technically correct batsmen failed miserably and the score read 24/5.

Everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong for South Africa. First, they completely misread the pitch and made a terrible Nasser Hussain-esque decision by sending the Australians in.

Then, they got hammered into submission by Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist.

And finally, their batsmen were simply run over by Shane Warne and Brett Lee.

Both Warne and Lee took 7-wicket hauls in either innings of South Africa. It was Lee who won the race to a 10-wicket match haul though, with Warne himself aiding in one of the catches off the former's bowling only to see himself fall one short of the mark.

WG Grace's Legends finished their campaign with a thrilling 7-run victory over the near-unbeatable 1948 Australians, with Grace himself picking the final wicket.

Despite being more than 100 runs in arrears after their first innings, the Australians had bounced back quite strongly in the second where they bowled the Legends out for a meagre 213 to give themselves a good shot at winning. However, the three crucial wickets taken by Bobby Peel in the second innings saw them fall agonizingly short in the end.

Don Bradman was back to scoring tons and thus proving the previous match was nothing more than an aberration.
