I always tried long and hard to be a moderator of Planet Cricket. Now, to anyone wanting to be a moderator just like me, I have this saying:

You can't be a driving instructor if you don't know how to drive.

Think about it- there is some logic in it!

We've not had elections for moderators here in the past, although it is something that can be considered in the future.

We do try and re-jig our staff every now and then, usually when a person feels that they are not able to devote adequate time to the forums or when someone has simply "disappeared". (think "disappeared", think "vineet" )

I think our current team of moderators has been generally doing an excellent job, as they're obviously being pushed for their places by some great members.

it is good to see people eyeing moderator place. As far as i am concerned, i think this whole website and forum members and the staff are good, most people here contribute and engage in discussions frequently and there are very few "bad" and offensive posts i've come across so i think the present team is good enough.
