More news on cricket 2004 - intresting one

In the thread, EA state the game will be released in Nov 03 (basically I had already told you this :;): ), and that there will be duckworth lewis method implemented.

That can only mean one thing - rain in ODI's. If true this would be fantastic. However as is always the case, you can have all the bells and whistles in the world, but if the gameplay sucks then the trimmings become irrelevant

kind of reminds me of my local pub football team. We can play the ball round the park like Real Madrid, but when it comes to the substance of the sport (i.e scoring goals and winning matches) we're more like EA sports at making cricket games. Absolute dog shite :P :;): Still, you cant have smoke without fire, eh Zim :h:

i think the words "cricket 2004" should be banned from these forums, to be honest its all getting rather tiring now...i personally won't believe a word i hear until i actually see it physically on the shelves in november (which is highly debatable in itself). Screenshots for the new Halo 2 were issued months back, which isn't out until October, so technically EA should have some concrete evidence of cricket 2004 to show by now. If they have'nt then they must be heavily behind schedule - thus meaning it won't be out anytime this year!! Can we all just get a grip on reality please, even if there will be a new game it will probably end up absolute cack because it would have meant the product being rushed out (again) :P

You are right Sonic, EA should have released at least some early screenshots by now. But how could they be behind schedule ? It seems HB has been developing it since June 2002!

I have your June 2002 right here!!!!!!

We all can tell it is rushed. Not one shithole screen shot. Midtown Madness 3 had screens out since 2001 and is due to be released later this year I think.

They are still asking who you think should be on the cover. Not even that they have so far......................

If my memory serves right, the getaway holds the record for a game being in production for the longest. A few weeks back i blew the dust (it was literally a sandstorm) off a PS2 mag marked October 2000, when the console was just out, which announced a new game, chuckle, called the getaway "due out the end of 2001", and of course i think it was released, erm, last christmas? :o So, you never know, EA may be looking to better that methinks :h:
