I've been having this Norton Antivirus error for ages and I don't know how to get rid of it.I have Norton Antivirus Professional Edition 2003 and don't have a subscription service installed. It comes on soon after I've logged onto my xp account and ages after it comes on first time.

Can anyone give me help?

Thanks
Auwais

I am a admin on my computer.

I had the same probledm when I upgrade to winxp from win 98 .. I reinstall norton and installed again and works fine now

I would have done that,if I had the norton disc.Because when I had win98,I had a virus and my mother's friends upgraded it to ME for a week and then came back and took the computer to upgrade it to XP and they put most of my software on my PC,like norton antivirus.

yeah you would need a cd to uninstall and reinstall the software so you can subscribe to the live update and stuff.

there is also a trial version on symantec website for 30 days you should try that out first to see if it solve ur problem than buy a cd

What is live update. I'm asking this because I haven't used Norton Antivirus.

Live update is a part of norton. It updates the virus definitions when you go online.

yes

oh than I think its cool.. you are just probably missing one of the registry files which doesnt read ur subscription info, when you get a cd just reinstall norton and it should work fine
