I completley agree with Pakistan on this. No matter how bad some of the decisions are in the game, it's just the way it is!

im with the pakistanis aswell, umpires authority would be undemrimed, lack of trust, it would cause chaos,

umpires wont get everything right, but if they are impartial it all balances out,

I disagreewith this Idea by Pakistan Cricket Board It's up to the umpires, It's their decision, and why are they there for anyway? what would a game be without a umpire?

I get the point, but it's the way life goes, if umpires make wrong decisions nothing happens. Life goes on, we all are Humans.

well then u should agree with them, not disagree

I think Usy needs a second look at the article :p

BTW, I completely agree with PCB's stance. Lets put a poll up to see what the PC members think of this.

Isn't the appeal system only going to be imposed on an experimental basis for now ?

This is a part of ICC's efforts to popularise cricket, and I see no wrong in a little bit of experimentation. It can always be withdrawn if it doesn't work.

And I strongly suspect the reason for the PCB's stance is that some of the world's worst umpires are of Pakistani origin

Some umpires make too many mistakes, some are just too arrogant to raise their finger. Since they are part of the game, teams should have the right to appeal against them.

I oppose it. Because 3 is too many. Make it 1 and they can keep it if they were correct. It may be alright i nthat case but still, I don't think it needs to be done. Bad decisions happen in all sports. A bad decision cost Australia the next round of the soccor.

I agree with the Pakistanis on this one. It's not like an umpire's going to reverse a decision because he accidentally gave the batsmen out. If an ump puts his finger up it's because he thinks it out, no one else's opinion matters.

worst umpires are Pakistanis ? Aleem Dar is good umpire, Asad Rauf is good umpire, or they wont get to umpire in big matches like ashes and stuff..
i think indian umpires are one of the worse, giving their own batsman out and even indian third umpire making wrong decisions consistently if i remember correctly. Thats why there are none in the "Elite Panel"

Also Darrel Hair, something needs to be done with him

I agree.

Also, something needed to be done with Broad, and I just checked.

He's not a match referee anymore!!!

Yaaaaay, Inzy can play every match now!

ICC finally came to their senses

Actually the quality of Pakistani umpires in our domestic circuits is quite poor. But I agree, Aleem Dar is better than some others.
