Multan did well to rein things back in the final ten overs save for Wanindu Hasaranga's cameo which pushed Karachi to 284, a highly competitive total on a typical Multan dust-bowl. Saim Ayub's boisterous fifty up top, and a top-notch knock from Mitchell Marsh headlined the Dolphins innings, with the rest of their main batters failing to turn up to the occasion in the big game. Nicholas Pooran and Azam Khan, two players renowned for their hitting capabilities, especially against spinners, were tamed wonderfully by the Tigers bowling attack who were only really challenged by Saim Ayub and Mitchell Marsh.
Maheesh Theekshana was the only bowler to go wicketless, only bowling 3 overs in the final on a wicket suited to his abilities. Lungi Ngidi and Ali Usman struck twice, while Hardik Pandya, Arafat Minhas and Faisal Akram bagged one wicket apiece. Ali Usman was also the most economical of the lot.
