England skipper Kevin Pietersen has warned his players not to overdo any celebrations at the Stanford Super Series in Antigua next week.

Each England player will earn $1m (?577,500) from the Twenty20 game if they beat a Stanford Superstars XI.

Pietersen said: "I've got friends who are struggling, really struggling - people who've lost their jobs.

Must say I am really impressed with the way Pietersen handled that interview and the points he made. Really does prove to me he is the right man to skipper England.

There's something about the guy that just makes him perfect for the job. He's so good at talking to press, which considering he hadn't done anything like this before is commendable. I'd been harping on about KP being the next England captain for a good year before he got the job, people were dismissing it, claiming he's too arrogant, that someone like Strauss, Cook or Collingwood would be better, but for me there's no better ambassador for English cricket than Kevin Pietersen. He spoke brilliantly in that interview about this game just being another game, and working as preparation for India. I just hope that he picks the best XI for the match, and doesn't give guys a go who the ECB feel deserve a finance boost. Alastair Cook certainly hasn't done anything to warrant getting in the first XI. Same team as the SA ODi team please.

What a great interview KP. That shows why he's a great captain, I watched the interview now and I knew that's why he was chosen. Come on England.

Good on ya, KP. The economy is in the toilet and they really shouldn't flaunt their money if they do end up winning.
