Playing spin

I somehow find scoring off a spinner is much easier than pace bowler. If the ball is bowled full outside off stump, I tend to play a lofted square drive provided there are no fielders covering the boundary. Anything on middle and leg I tend to work that either straight or on the leg side.

Sorry to hijack, but on the subject of spin, is there a tutorial on bowling it? I can't seem to turn any deliveries. On Xbox One...

I select off-break, click A... start rotating the L1 stick smoothly until the ring goes green - then what? Do I hold the L1 in position while it's green? Do I let go of the L1 stick and flick it together with the R1 stick?!

I then flick the R1 stick in the direction that I want the delivery to go.

If someone can walk me through that'd be great!

Are you playing career? Difficulty level? I just keep the left stick in position when it's green. In my experience pitch conditions make a massive difference. For example on the first day of a test the ball won't spin much, if at all, but in later days I find it turns too much (can't get a bloody LB!).

If you're early in a career I'd say your stats just suck and you need to grind until your player is better. If not there probably isn't enough wear on the pitch/ball for it to turn.

There's also gameplay sliders if you want to turn up the spin.
