Probem with field position editing on PS2

HI all
I am back after a long time to this forum
I have a massive problems on PS2 guys. I cant edit or customize the field position as per my need on PS2. I can only use the 15 default field position as provided by codies
as we all r aware of it when u press the square button on the controller u can edit the field by selecting the following options
1) >Field 1<
2) Edit
3) Cancel the changes

The problem i am experiencing here is the option edit is shaded and i cant select it whether i am balling with the field restrictions on or off

I will be obliged to u all if u can help me on this

I had this problem at first. What you need to do is scroll through the fields: attacking/defensive/custom. Select custom because these are the only fields you can edit. Unfortunately you can't edit any of the ready made fields so you'll have to make your own from scratch.
