Quarter-final 2: Uruguay v Ghana, Friday 2 July 2010 at 18:30 GMT

The match was a bit boring after seeing the Netherlands vs Brazil, was there moments that both teams had their chances. The end of the match was great. Ghana almost scored a goal, but Suareze fended the ball off with his hands. He got a red card for it. Replays showed he has collar of his shirt up to his mouth implying that he was crying. But when Gyan missed he immediately run away happy.

The biggest penalty miss was of Mensah. I don't understand why he went to shoot that ball from a standing position.

Agreed - if you're going to do that sort of thing, you need to be Ronaldo or Messi. Terrible penalty.

Forlan is such a great player for Uruguay, what a free kick and what a goal to get an equalizer for your side. Suarez handball was funny but Asamoah will never forget this day, there will be always be a guilt on his mind for the rest of his life about this I am sure. Had he scored, Ghana would have been in the semis and some credit should go to the Uruguayan GK, he was brilliant in the shootout.

It will be interesting to see how Uruguay do without Suarez in the semi.

WHAT!? You can't have been watching the same game. Was comfortably the best game of the tournament, overtaking the amazing Slovakia-Italy game. It was brilliant how the two sides fought back and forth, with Uruguay starting well then Ghana dominating and scoring and then Uruguay equalising.

Looks like a fight between Forlan, Villa and Higuain for the Golden Boot.

This will be the first time that someone got a red card and has become a hero.

Luis Suarez - hero or villain?

He did what he had to do. I know I would have done the same even though I thought he would have possibly stopped it with his chest.

But the thing is lots of players do that. It's world-wide accepted as the thing to do for players on the line when the game is in the balance.

Stupid thing for me was that he punched the ball from in front of his face. Should have just headed it, but his mind was set on using his hands no matter what.
