Match venue

Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

Pitch

The match will be played on a bouncy wicket. The ball should carry through quite nicely to the wicket-keeper, benefiting both batsmen and fast bowlers.

Lineup rules & guidelines

- No more than two star players per XI.
- A capable wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:) must feature in the XI.
- Try marking 6 bowlers in your XI, so a non-bowler doesn't come on and potentially cost you the match.
- The country flags on this forum look pretty. Try using them while posting your lineups if possible.

Though they managed to contain Landscape's batsmen for some time following User 2010's dismissal, things took a turn for the worse for Slipperpool at the death. Aman Kumar (@themusketeer) and Jayesh Sinha (@PokerAce) were hitting boundaries left, right and centre. The end result was Landscape going past 350 by the 47th over and Kumar Kushari (@kushari) finishing his comeback match with awful figures of 1/94 from 10 overs.

After Jennings' dismissal, panic set in Slipperpool's ranks. Yash Raj hung on valiantly, but kept running out of batting-savvy partners at the other end. The required rate had gone well past 12 per over, and kept going further up with every dot ball.

That magic knock finally came and I am glad it came in a winning cause. Wonderful victory this and gives us a better chance to go through. Aman and Sinha deserve a lot of credit too with the way they batted especially Aman with how he finished it off.

384 was always going to be tough regardless of the bowling attack of the opposition but the way myself, HL and Raj played there was a possibility we could have won that. Sadly, despite the brilliant platform, our middle and lower order though capable of cashing in on it was not able to capitalize the advantage.

May be I would have delayed the inevitable little further if I had went on.

26.2 Makelele to Punani, OUT, That didnt look so convincing but the umpire has no doubt, out LBW

Fantastic ! Just brilliant. Such high scoring games are always difficult but we took advantage of defending this big total and our bowlers did exactly the same. Our top orders finally scored and scored big. Brilliant inning from User and congrats for his 1st LA century. Clarke was good as well. Then I and Jayesh kept the score going and I went nuts and started with hitting sixes and ended up scoring with SR of 179. :D

Fabulous victory, Hard Luck Slippers.

This victory took us to 2nd position and we will remain on that if Demons beat Amigos.

The key here was that you got out two of our best batsman - Steve Tikolo and Simon Mignolet - quick fast. Had they been able to do what they have been doing all tournament, we would have even chased that mammoth target.

The Nine Dragons lost extremely badly against Muffins so I think we still have a chance to qualify for the semis.

A shocker from us from a bowling point of view, Kushari's selection backfired massively!! A great effort by the batsmen in chasing a fairly impossible task. We've got it all to do in the final round. UTS!!!
