Sound Crash

i currently dont have sound because of a sound driver issue (i think) and have been playin icc3 for a while before there was this error which says "failed to create directsound device" but this has already worked without sound? after that it crashes and the send error report thing happens

but i cant install my sis 7012 audio driver which comes up with the error of "-536870397" and then it says "Fail to install audio driver for windows xp. Setup will exit."???
