Stats - are they updated?

I'm a little worried after reading a couple of posts by the_gas.

Is it true that the statistics are NOT tracked and updated in some of the tournaments? I have heard that on "World Tour" the computer won't recognise the games and keep a log on stats. That's a shame.

What other tournaments lack this feature? Or is it just the "World Tour"? I need to know which things to avoid before spending precious hours on the game - especially with my newly created player.

Sadly, its' true. Stats are not updated throughout the game. It's the same in every tournament I think.

i had some great figures on my aussie tour aswell hopefully in the next version they will be recorded

Yeah but the NEXT VERSION? My god, it's 2005 and I have to wait until the distant future to have something that's an absolute ESSENTIAL in a cricket game? That is actually quite poor indeed! I had this game shipped to Australia from England.....sheesh I feel a bit angry about this stats thing.

although stat tracking is not absolutely important in my book, i have to admit i'm quite annoyed when i look at the stats and my career player apparently averages 9, even though i dont remember him hitting a low score in ages! has anyone else had this problem or have i just been screwed over?

hi, wanted to share something, although the stats is not tracked. but if we create a carreer player and put this player in any team and play tournament( any) then there are some records that u can get a trophy if u complete them,like 1st 50,fastest 50,double hundered...thats it. no other records... now i just wanted to ask that if we play with carreer team like the carreear player in that team, and make 50 ,100 etc then can we win those records? i mean how to get these trophies in records menu and carreer records section... just have a look and share please, PS2
