Stump reactions

Has anyone managed to knock the stumps out of the ground? Is it possible? Ive only ever seen the bails fly off and the stumps move backwards.

I have done it many times with fast bowlers specially B.lee and Shoaib Akhtar.
If u want to do so Just try to bowl as quick as u can

I've done it heaps of times.

I generally do it with off stum flying

Also, it seems the bails only fly straight in the air, has any one knocked the bails away from the stumps?

Mostly the stumps fly forward but rarely they fly backward!!!Thats funny!!!

Just use a quick bowler and pitch the ball on the batsmens feet on leg stump. If they have enough confidence you should be able to knock over leg or middle stump if they try to slog you over mid-wicket. You can go for a lot of runs before it happens though.
