Team Lineup Bug

Well, what can I say... Brilliant game in my opinion, but this is the one bug that i despise... Im playing Ban v NZ, and NZ ended up with three specialist spinners playing (M Hart, Wiseman and Vettori)

When you reload a saved game, sometimes the team lineups revert to a "default XI".. Im no expert on computing, but i guess its either an error that occurs in the saving or loading process... I guess a lot of you have had the same problems... But do any of you have any tips that might stop this from happening? I save after every over.. Maybe the bug occurs if you save during a lunch or tea interval?

Is it the kind of thing that could be rectified in a patch? If so, how soon do you think? Would one of you guys be able to make a patch?

Many thanks for the feedback..

when ever u save and reload the savegame it reverts to default eleven

solution until patch:

play with default 11 or play 10/20 over ODIs so u can play without having to save/reload the game

this is a very huge bug yeh i know

similar one happened in c2k2 with the opposition team where it would change to one of the other default XIs (2 for ODI and 3 for tests)

atleast this one can be fixed by using da starting Xis which are pretty accurate in my opinion

I haven't had this prob as i haven't played a saved midway game. One thing i hate is how the lineup always changes back to the orginal after u finish a match. They need to get the rugby makers in as the game was perfect in this aspect.

Possibly the only thing that was 'perfect' in Rugby 2004 thou.
The save game playing XI problem is pretty bad especially as you have to save in test matches where rain is a possibility.
That said I'm happier being a Cricket fan with Cricket 2004 than a Rugby person with Rugby 2004. Now that was the worst EA Sports game ever. No contest.

Maybe a solution for this bug.

To get the default 11 players list:
Go to "play now" in menu then pick your team, then to pick which team you want to change the default 11 either 1 day or test match change the game to an 10 to 50 over match for one day players or change to 4 or five day match for the test match players. Now before you start the game go to "team" selection and write down the default 11 players in order. Remember the order of the default 11, because just say you replace the default first player in the list with another, that is where your replaced player is going to be in the default batting order.

To change the default 11 players:
Right at the start of the game go to "team management" click on "base copy" to copy a player, I suggest picking the player not from the international teams but state teams or whatever you call them, once you have copied the first player you want in the default batting order click "add to database" then go to the team you want to change the default lineup and click on one of those default 11 players to replace with new player. That's it repeat the proccess for every player now.

Also so you don't have to pick the players again when you start a new game and choose your squad just click on auto and you will find all the players you have replaced are in that list.
