The line-up changing patch...

I downloaded the patch which fixes the problem of the line-up changing in the second innings of matches, but it doesn't seem to have helped. What exactly do I need to do with the file I downloaded to make it fix the problem? Thanks, any help much appreciated

It is a new exe. Extract it and it will run instead of your original.

Sorry to be dense but it asks me where I want it extracted to. Where should I say?

You have to extract that file at where you have installed cricket 2004. something like C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Cricket 2004\

Thanks, that worked! But somehow it seems to have also resulted in the bowling cursor disappearing when my team is batting (but not when my team is bowling) so I have to guess where the ball is going to pitch!! Has this happened to anyone?
