What is it?
This is a Draft competition, not technically a league. This means that the focus will be on building the best team you can and not on managing your resources through a lengthy league campaign.
Okay, so what will I do?
When it is your turn in the draft, you will have to pick a player from the pool available for that round.
Then what?
Then you wait for your pick in the next round.
Well that sounds like no fun at all.
Yes, but you could pass the time by creating a profile once you find out which player you've picked. There will be a genuine purpose to doing that.
So how do you win?
You will win by earning the most points. Points will be awarded thus:
The Public Vote
Once all of the players have drafted their complete elevens, there will be a public vote lasting seven days. Depending on your position in the public vote, you can earn the following points:
1st place - 10 points
2nd place - 6 points
3rd place - 4 points
4th place - 3 points
5th place - 2 points
6th place - 1 point

Effort Points
Remember how I said that putting in the effort to profile the players in your team would have a purpose? This is how. I award these points based upon who I think has made the best effort at profiling their players and generally making this thread about more than just a list of names.
1st place - 5 points

Penalty Points
You can also lose points. If you miss your 24 hour slot without warning me first by PM, or you pick an invalid player, then you will be docked one point.
Penalty - -1 point

Okay, so where does "Lucky Dip" come in?
You won't actually know which players you're picking.
Say what?
Rather than being told the players you are selecting, you will be given some details about them. For example:
A: West Indies, Batsman, 1994
This means that the player is a West Indian batsman who made their debut in 1994. This could be either one of two players: Shivnarine Chanderpaul or Stuart Williams. Your job as a player in this draft league is to decide if that's worth the risk, or if you should pick a different player. You will learn who you received only after you have made your pick.
