I saw Mark Nicholas hit a ball over the top of the field once during the 80's so by right I think we can call him the inventor of over the top hitting....

Yeah, but when i was batting with my mates in school, i hit the ball on the roof so I am the real inventor of over the top hitting. :cool:

The real inventor of over the top hitting is the first preson ever to hit the ball over the top and i'm sorry but there is no way this first occured in the 70's or 80's.

Case closed, book thrown out, court burnt down. :cool:

Err.. ODI's only started in 1971 :p. And lets face it the OD tournaments before it couldn't of been that good, Somerset once declared on 0-1 :p

doesn't need to be and OD to be able to hit over the top
