Rebel Army Appoint Galvin as Manager
Alan%20Mathews.jpg

In a shock statement at Beamish House today Cork City Football Club have revealed rookie Kevin Galvin as new manager

"It really is a dream come true, I can't believe it. I've always supported them as a boy and know the current crop of players very well, it's amazing to get the job so young and I can only hope that I can make us proud this season"

City start with a depleted side this season, they lost John O' Flynn in the close season and have a strict budget to start with.

"The lack of budget will make it difficult this season but we can only hope for the best"

City started their season with a draw against Wexford Youths (1-1) a loss to Athlone Town (4-3) and a win against high-flyer's Dundalk (1-0), their next game is against former league champions Shelbourne at Tolka Park

Galvin Wheels and Deals in Transfer Market
_41880542_cork_cele_203.jpg

So the transfer season has come to an end and so the new squad is decided. Manager Kevin Galvin hasn't spent a penny in the transfer market, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't added some players. Galvin signed former Crusaders player Jon Rosbotham from Derriaghy in Co. Antrim, and also signed Evergreen player Barry O' Neill.

Also veteran Billy Woods has accepted a €24,000 move to Morecambe in the English League 2, woods has jumped at the chance to experience English football
