When all your internet browsers mess up... Does it ever happen that all you internet browsers seem to be messed up, be it adware or just a bogged down pipe. In such cases, you can use MS calculator to browse the www. Yes, the Microsoft calculator (standard windows accessory) can be used to read pages, albeit without flash/shockwave support.
Try this out.
Open MS calculator by typing 'calc' in the run menu(windows key+r = shortcut for Run menu)
Help > Help Topics
This will open a new window, in the top left corner of which you will see this notepad icon with a yellow ? mark.

Clicking on that icon will give a drop down menu,

Now click on 'Jump to URL' and type the address of the site you'd like to visit, only with all the http:// added, for eg.
http://www.planetcricket.org
There, you're all set for web page access until your regular browser is up and running again.
