The toe guard on my new bat is coming off. Should I
1. Rip it off? if so how and what do i need to do to maintain the toe.
2. Glue it back on? If so what glue is safe on a cricket bat?
PLEASE HELP

Just rip it off, don't need one unless you play in ridiculously wet conditions. You don't really need to maintain the toe either, just give it a quick oil and you'll be fine. Don't over oil the toe though, very lightly oil it.

Rip it off and put shoo goo on it, you be able to buy from your local amart all sports. Shoo goo protects it from any moisture getting and you can use it roughly.

Glue it back on with some super glue IMO. Better having a toe guard than no toe guard. Never know when you're going to get the unexpected yorker with cracks into the toe of your bat.
