urgent help playing cricket 2004

Brought the game installed it and it says that it has been sucessfully installed but when you go to play it comes up in an error box "The d3d8.dll file is linked to missing export ddraw.dll.ddentry 12." what do i have to do to make it play as everything as sucessfully been installed

The problem might have occured because of directx try reinstalling directx

it works now i restarted the computer but it is very very slow so it still seems like i will be getting a new computer
