Can we please get some wider variety in terms of vBookie events and why was a few soccer events posted so far in advance

dont get me wrong i love the vBookie system but i just have a few questions

If you guys want I can put up 2-3 vBookie AFL matches per week for people to bet on. 8 per week is probably too much.
Thoughts anyone?

That would be appreciated, 2-3 matches would be good aswell. If i can help in any way to make this succesful, i am more then happy to help. If in any way we can get the whole 8 matches every week, and if i can help with that to, just tell me what to do and i am all yours, lol.

rugby league as well but u should limit it so only the friday night game and the monday night game

Okay, I'll see if we can organise this. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
Sounds promising. :)

Ok, we get threads like this every couple of months and every couple of months I post the same reply, so here it goes again.

I think I probably start the most events (all moderators can start vbookie events) so I am probably most qualified to comment. Obviously the whole process is manual. I have to know of a forthcoming event and then find it on a betting site, I then have to manually enter it and remember that it needs settling. I can only do this for events that I am interested in and am likely watch (or at least know the result of). As such I only put bets up for things that interest me, there would be no point in me starting events for AFL because I dont have the first clue about it so I couldn't settle it.

Timing of events is mainly down to when they appear on betting sites or when I remember them. For example the Football events mentioned have been up on betting sites for ages, but yesterday I was going to put some Super 8 matches up but there are no odds available currently so they will probably have to wait until later today.

I'm sure someone out there can go to the effort of putting AFL matches up (or at least one or two) but is is disappointing when you put up events and nobody bets on them, for example I spent a lot of time putting up a bet for the Australian F1 GP after people moaned I didnt do a drivers championship one, how many bets (apart from mine) did it attract? - One. Result, no more F1 bets.

i was going to bet on it but it wasnt open for long enough im probably wrong on that but i didnt see it at all

we do appreciate what u do

what about rugby league?

Again, League is something I don't follow. I'm more of a Union fan (In the UK very generally Southerners like Union and Northerners like League and I am the former). These days I barely follow Union either, only really international tournaments where England are involved.

I'll try and do some NRL matches.

Sounds promising at least, it be nice to see 2 or 3 matches from the Super League, but if NRL is there im not complaining :D

Nice one Duff, however I would advise less that 8 per week.

Thats going to take a long time to do and you are likely to get fed up doing it and probably a lot of those matches will have no bets placed. Experience with putting EPL matches up tells me to concentrate on big matches rather than putting up any old match.

Edit:

I've just remembered you Aussies will bet on anything!

I'll never forget the fun I had with a bunch of Australians at an Australia v Bangladesh ODI. I lost so much cash!!!!

Depending on how popular it is, that's how many AFL events I will post per week. For the moment I'll keep it at 8 matches, however if there arn't many bets placed I'll decrease the number I create.

I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so I'll post the maximum number of AFL matches per week for now.
