Viewsonic Monitor Problem- please help

I have a Viewsonic VA1912wb Monitor. For better picture quality i have changed the Gamma of the screen to 1.5 from 1.0 using the intel graphics controller. But whenever i turn off the computer or start a game the gamma changes back to 1.0 making the picture darker and hazier than ever. Please help! :help
