Story Virtual Test Cricket

Ok this may sound a little confusing at first but please bear with me.

I have made a site that I will be using to track and record statistics generated by playing Cricket 2004. Think of it as a never-ending test cricket season, with stats for batsmen, bowlers, teams, fieldsmen etc. all compiled by me and posted on the site I have made.

What I would like from you guys that do these fantastic stories here on this forum is permission to use the stats generated by the test series that you guys play and display here. All I need is screenshots of every innings played including the bowling analyses and also the "balls faced" screens as well (for working out strike rates).

I am still working on the site as we speak so stick around and I will post the link for the site so you guys can hopefully get an idea of what I'm doing...

Yeah its a good idea. But you need to know that it would not give a fair indication of the statistics. This is because most of the guys here play as England, and hence England will be playing a lot more number of matches as compared to the other teams. Also you will have to deal with abandoned tours and matches due to various reasons. So while this idea of yours is a great one, whether it will work out at the end as intended, i dont really know.

Anyways I will be most happy to send u the necessary screenshots from my stories.

I see your point and it is valid, this is based on single tests, not only test series. And the stats will only be updated when a match is complete, so if someone pulls the plug halfway through a match, I'll simply move on to the next one.

I'm not necessarily after "fair" statistics, I mean every game I've played so far has had Australia in it, so there's another indication of how lopsided the stats may be. That being said we have a lot of sub-continent posters here that would choose India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc. more often so I believe in the long run things will even themselves out, and if not it doesn't really matter, because it's just for fun, no other reason
