why isnt there a sweep shot?

There is a sweep but not a regulation one more of a paddle sweep.
Pretty easy to do and good to score easy singles from.

There is a sweep, but it could be better - maybe the patch will do something. Also, please don't use 'txt spk' in posts as it's against the Rules.

do you mean a leg glance? how can that be considered a sweep?

how can it be possible not to have it when we had it in the previous versions both the normal and reverse sweeps?

It's definitely in there - I saw the AI play it only yesterday. As Lee said, it's more of a paddle sweep.

There's a sweep but not a reverse sweep and, unlike BLIC, you can't select sweep as a seperate shot.

Just aim for the fine leg region and play an attacking stroke. Sometimes it will do a leg glance instead; depends where the ball pitches.
I agree it would be nice to slog sweep over midwicket.

From what I've seen, you just aim the cone somewhere behind square and choose a front foot shot.

Edit: Try varying degrees behind square.

I think the sweep shot also generally coems into play when the timing is a bit early, as in the timing is in the early part of perfect...although not sure but it's definitely there and I use it a lot online, though not exactly sure how to choose between the sweep and the glance.

I think it`s pathetic that a proper sweep shot is not included in the possible shots, the Sweep and reverse sweep are becoming more and more common place these day`s in real Cricket,so to not be able to perform one in a so called realistic game is a bit of a con really.

You can play a proper looking sweep shot, but only against spinners.

i agree with you there. the sweep shot was there in ICC cricket 07' and it should have a button specifically for this shot as it can be a great tactical shot against spinners to play

Sweeping is "just another shot."

If we're playing by that theory, I want the ability to "Dilshan," it straight behind me, and I want a specific button for it because its "a great tactical shot against the medium/fast bowlers."
