Win 7 64bit Ultimate's XP mode

As some of you know, I dual boot with Win XP and Win 7 64bit Home Premium. I've found that some games work on XP that don't work under Win 7 and some that run better under XP, such as Fifa 11.

I'm wondering that if I upgrade to Win 7 Ultimate, would running under Win XP mode be exactly like running under Win XP itself - in other words would Fifa 11 (for example) run smoothly with no lag?

No it wont, because it would be sharing system resources. Better booting into XP and playing

Right, thank you for the info. I've also just found out how much an upgrade will cost - so sod it!

And anyway, XP mode is not really for running graphics hogging games like FIFA. Its more for running normal software. I don't think FIFA would actually work in WinXP mode
