Chappel wary of Windies thread

Indian coach Greg Chappel is now aware of what the West Indies can do after his team getting hammered 4-1 in the One day series. "There is now enormous pressure on us to beat them now. Nobodey expected them to beat us in the the one-dayers and they pulled together and outperformed us. We can't let that happen again".

Lara hopeful of series win

Windies captain Brian Lara has stated that he is confident his team can win the test series after a great one day series. Their newly formed team has improved to give them their first series win in 22 months. Lara said "We did extremely well in the odi's, and we must transform that form into the tests. A series win will set us up very well for the world cup next year.

Pre-match report:
Here we are in Antigua for the first test of the series. The whether is hot and the pitch is hard and flat, meaning some bounce for seamers and help for spinners later on, but this is a batting belter. The West Indies have opted for 3 main seamers with Bravo and the 3 spinners Gayle, Sarwan and Samuels to back them up. India have gona the the other way with 5 main bowlers with Kumble, Pathan, Agarkar Harbhajan and Sreesanth.

Session report:
The game is evenly matched after a thrilling first session, with Ramnaresh Sarwan being the star of the show. Sreesanth got the early break through for the Indians getting Chris Gayle caught and bowled for just 6 in the 3th over. Sarwan strode out next and took the game the Sreesanth depositing his 4th over for a huge 21. Morton fell though in the 10th over for 13 skying an easy catch right back to Agarkar. Out came the master, Brian Lara. Sarwan was the master today though, playing some brilliant shots to reach his fifty off just 31 balls. Lara stooding the background picking off singles to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Lara went though in the 21st over LBW for 27 to suprising part time leg-spinner VVS Laxman buy a 19mph googly. Sarwan went to the same bowler 2 overs later c&b for a sparkling 92 off 58 balls. Bravo and Chanderpaul batted through to lunch, as the teams remained evenly matched.

Score at lunch: West indies 171-4 off 30 overs.

Screenies:

1.Morton and Gayle playing big shots.

2. Sarwan brings up his fifty and Lara goes soon after.

1. Kodos' roster he let me use had the bowling line-up wrong, i didn't notice for a whole.

2. im playing at 1280*1024 so they look quite weird when made smaller.

Afternoon session coming up soon :)!

I told you in my old thread this roster isn't FULLY updated :D Anyways hope you're enjoying the game and are you noticing any differences???

Great story so far but the presentation does need a little bit of work.

Write down a timeline in Notepad or something of when something happens. Then you can do an over-by-over match report with pictures and appropriate captions underneath.

As long as you reduce the size to either 800x600 or 500x375, (which is what I use), then it shouldn't look weird.
