Ok here's the deal.

Yesterday when I was msn, I received a link with something like 'photocentre' in the URL. So I clicked it and all of a sudden I inadvertantly sent a message to all my online contacts saying

'omg is that you?!' Then the link was after

Everytime I try to go on msn now, it will act normal for a while then will send the message to all my online contacts again.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem then please get back to me A.S.A.P

Cheers :cheers

You have a Messenger virus, but I'm not sure which one. Google "MSN Messenger Virus"
there are loads of hits.

Do you know what is was called Gaurav?

The same thing happened to me, but I don't think I send it to my contacts now and again.

I don't remember its name but it was starting with 'y' and it was building exe's on the desktop where i saved that pic.

It had yinstall on the desktop is that it?

It seems to be fixed now anyway :D I just deleted the yinstall thingy

Very probably that wont be enough. Normally they are far more tricky than that. I suggest you run the tools in the links I posted at the very least.

After googling the phrase he sent me, I thought it was the Bropia virus... Probably wasn't, Culli said the removal thing claimed there was no Bropia.

I agree with Kev. Many viruses may seem easy to get rid of but your probably just trimming the surface. Think of it like this; Viruses/Spyware/Trojans are like weeds, you may think youv'e got rid of a weed by cutting the top off but no, you have to get rid of the roots to stop them coming back. The same thing applies with Viruses, merely deleting one of the fragments it leaves isn't good enough, it can sneakily ruin your whole PC without you noticing so i'd use some of the tools that Kev posted otherwise your screwed. :p

Well it worked alright when I talked to you didn't it :p

:cheers :cheers :happy :happy 400th post!! Cos I'm cool :happy :happy :cheers :cheers
