Cricket 2000, 99/00, EA Sports, PC, not many things you CAN say about it, except it SUCKED.

the worst game ever: bruce lee, it came out on x-box and ps2, but i never bought it...the woest game i ever bought myself was actua soccer on the sega saturn, it reeked, i think barry "really, there's no place for that in football" Davies did the commentary alongside Trevor, "well, i'm not too sure" Brooking, and I just remember it being full of the most stupid comments you could think of. But the gameplay was even worse, the players ran round the pitch like headless chickens and the passing model was hte equivalent of 80's Wimbledon - if any of you are old enough to remember them - anyone who has played the game will know what I mean. Also, Michael Owen's World League Soccer on the Playstation was equally bad - only this time the commentator Peter "ooh, he's hit the post but the ball's not over the line" Brackley and every word he said was either a stutter or repeated over and over about three times. Another rubbish game was "Zion" on the ps2, it was a futuristic racer but with graphics that would have been put to shame on the first "NES" console, it looked awful and I remember the magazine refusing to even rate the thing, it was that bad :

Talking of poor commentary, did anyone own International Superstar Soccer on PS1? I don't know who did the commentary, but it was unbelievably bad. Like you'd kick-off and the guy would say , in a voice so excitable I don't know what he was doing with himself, 'There's not long left now!!' :blink: :blink: . And they way he said 'Nigeria', me and a mate were nearly p*****g ourselves one night after a few beers.
Worth the money now just to hear it :chair: ...

the worst commentary is on pro evolution soccer version 1, or if your not from the uk its called winning eleven 5. Some guy called Chris James. His voice is just so dreary and barely shows any emotion, even when someone scores, he is so predictable...

"england...(long pause)...and the score is...(long pause) three one....england (long pause) are leading by two goals" - yes we gathered that, do you think we can't count?!

Pro Evo 2 was worse when Peter Brackley woould continually belt out "He's hit the post, but the ball still hasn't crossed the line"...so hopefully Konami will continue with this tradition of bad commentary in the third game...its just so funny to listen to

I can say Pro Evolution Soccer 2's commentary is bad and has bugs.I was playing as Aragon(or Manchester) got the ball to Gigsi(Ryan Giggs) he did a cross and the ball hit the bar and flew out.And what do the comm.say?They come out with something like Chio,a name which I didn't have or the other team.You can fool the commentators doing stuff like that."Oh he must have been aiming at that!"No I was aiming at the penalty area!Not the fu**ing crossbar! Maybe Konami SHOULD find a good replacement.If they can make games like Metal Gear Solid,then they can find good commentary for Pro Evolution Soccer.How simple is that? : :P
